Advent 2021 Series
Raise your hand if you like to wait?
So, that makes none of us.
But we find ourselves in a place of waiting. We find ourselves in-between.
In-between the first coming of Christ and Christ’s second coming.
In-between promise and fulfillment.
In-between praying for God to move and seeing God move.
In-between the ache for restoration and our hope fulfilled.
How do we live in a place of waiting? Between the now and the not yet. How do we keep our hearts alive to hope and to the ache we feel for Christ to make all things new?
“Advent is a season of expectant waiting, tapping into the sense we have that all is not well, the longing for the world to be made right again. It’s a season for restless hearts and people weary of a broken world who want with all our being to know that there’s more than this.”
